Precarious Perch

This has become Holden's new favorite place to be when we are outside. He like to sit there and just watch the cars, or dogs or bikes, go by. Sometimes he will stand up and freak me out by walking back and forth across the ledge from pillar to pillar. He is such a funny combination of thoughtful and daredevil. When he's through growing I hope he chooses thoughtful.

Holden in....Holden

So I guess we knew the name thing would have to come up sometime. Oh, well. This weekend we went to Wade's parent's house. Holden had so much fun. His little boy nature really comes alive when he spends a lot of time outdoors doing manly things. Well boyish anyway.

My (guitar) Hero

Wade was so excited when, for his birthday last week, he got Guitar Hero. Since then he has had a number of late night jam sessions with friends and Brad our brother-in-law. They are getting quite good. Our nights have become very predictable, and I am getting a good education on metal bands. I was especially impressed when I came home from mutual one night and Wade was rocking out with Claire. I asked him how he could play Guitar Hero and take care of her at the same time. He said, "It's easy, you just bounce Claire in the bouncy seat with your foot while you keep the beat." Rock on Wade, rock on!



Wade & I strengthening the bonds of marriage through rockin'. Also, did you notice Wade's shirt? You'd never even know this joker was a doctor. Love you Wade.

Oooo Cake!

So, yesterday I was looking at this recipe for Wade's birthday cake, and off to the side are small pictures of the ingredients. Holden comes up beside me and sees the page and rubbing his hands together greedily says, "Oooo cake!" I laughed a little bit, then Holden sees the small pictures off to the side and looking at the top one says, "Oooo Bananas." I cracked up and told him that, that was not a picture of bananas. So he takes a closer look and then shouts, "Oooo Butter!" What a funny kid. I agree though. I think I should start replacing his treat with pats of butter, what do you think?

Daddy's Girl

Claire is such a sweet little girl and she is very smiley around most people, but there is just something about her daddy that she loves the most. When those two get together magic happens. You can see the admiration in her face. What a sweet little girl. We love you Claire.

Better late than never

It has taken me a little while, but I know I have promised our family some pictures, so here you go. This is the only good "family picture" we have taken so far. You would think it would be twice as hard to get a good picture when you have two kids, but no, it is like....5 times more difficult.

This is Holden being silly with his cute cousins. What the heck Holden is doing with his hand I have no idea. Just being crazy Holden I guess.

Joining the Ranks

My best friend Kira is usually my front-runner for all things posh. She's the one who started me off scrapbooking, my one creative outlet, and when she began her blog last year I knew it was only a matter of time. I have been putting it off for way to long now due to the severe lack of time, but since the birth of Claire, our second, I have realized a need to keep in touch. I spend so much time viewing all of your blogs, I feel like I connect with my old friends all the time, but you just never hear from me.
